Amina Bergendahl and Annika Riis Kristoffersson
Amina Bergendahl and Annika Riis Kristoffersson are the founders of the dinner service company Ecoviva founded in Stockholm in 2009. The business concept is to deliver organic and environmentally friendly groceries with accompanying recipes to private households that want inspiration and relief for their weekly dinners.
Riis Kristoffersson and Bergendahl put a lot of weight on contributing to sustainable consumption in their work. Their concept aims towards reducing food waste, includes climate compensated transports and consists of organic products chosen by season. The company creates the recipes themselves and chooses to promote small artisan food chains as a part of their concept.
The founders of Ecoviva want to show that it is possible to combine social entrepreneurship and economic business thinking together with sustainability, just as it is possible to provide customers with the option of contributing to sustainable food consumption without compromising their comfort or enjoyment of life. Ecoviva currently delivers to private households in Stockholm, Uppsala, and Gothenburg and will soon be expanding to the south of Sweden.
The hard work put into Ecoviva’s concept has resulted in multiple awards. One of the major achievements has been Ecoviva’s nominations at Arla Golden Cow, the Swedish food industry's ”Oscar”, where the company was nominated in the category of the “best environmental work” for five years in a row (2010-2015).
